The selection of products mentioned here thus reflects specific operating conditions and applications with a focus on heat resistance. In terms of hose construction, you will find mainly clip hoses, but also vulcanized and extruded hoses or film hoses. Since many of our fabric types are particularly heat-resistant, our products can be used in high-temperature applications.
MaterialsConstruction & Manufacturing
Our safety and quality requirements and our experienced staff enable you to find exactly what you are looking for.
Depending on the substances, gases or liquids to be transported, the required temperature ranges or the mechanical loads to be expected, we have a wide range of high-quality technical fabrics and knitted fabrics made of glass, polyamide, polyester as well as aramid fibers such as Nomex® or Kevlar® and even ceramic material at our disposal. Many of the types of fabric we use are particularly heat-resistant, enabling them to be used in high-temperature applications. Special rubbers such as silicone, Neoprene® and CSM and special elastomers such as Viton®, Nitril® or butyl are used for the coating.
Incidentally, hoses made by the Masterflex Group using the thermoplastic manufacturing process ( TPV ) are produced from a thermoplastic rubber. The performance properties of vulcanized rubber, such as heat resistance and low compression set, harmonize excellently with the easy processability of thermoplastics.
A whole range of hose types is available to you under the tab of temperature-resistant or heat-resistant hoses. In terms of hose construction, you will find mainly clip hoses, but also vulcanized and extruded hoses.
ConstructionManufacturing process
We can manufacture heat resistant hoses in various constructions depending on the requirements. In all extruded hoses, the metal spiral is cast into the hose so that it cannot rotate or move. Due to this firm connection between plastic and spring steel wire, extruded spiral hoses can evenly absorb bending stresses around the transverse and longitudinal axes. As a result, spiral hoses are characterized by lower torsional and kink sensitivity due to their design. These hoses also show, quite typically, symmetrical folding behavior and are also kink-resistant.
