The donation will benefit children from socially disadvantaged families in the region. The children often go to school hungry because they cannot have breakfast at home in the morning - either due to a shortage of food or because their parents are indifferent.
Thanks to the “Lunch Break Initiative” launched by the Tafel, children are provided with fresh sandwiches, fruit and vegetables at school.
The food is financed exclusively by donations, such as the one from Masterflex.
The donation was once again raised this summer through the sporting efforts of some colleagues. The incentive that Masterflex donates 100 euros per runner to the food bank lured some sporty colleagues from their office chairs directly to the starting line of the B2Run in Gelsenkirchen. Participation in the company run in and around the Veltins-Arena has also become a firm institution for Masterflex.
Once again this year, a proud sum was raised, which Masterflex rounded up to a total of 2,000 euros.
